Skycontrol

Skycontrol is one of the two Geneva based associations and represents about 150 air traffic controllers, working at the area control center in Geneva as well as at the aerodromes of Berne, Lugano, Sion and Grenchen.

Skycontrol is a trade union insofar as it negotiates the Collective Working Agreement for its members and participates in the Committee that ensures social parity. It is also a professional association that participates actively on the Technical and Operations Committee, monitoring technical developments to ensure they are accomplished in a harmonious way. Skycontrol watches to ensure that operations are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with ICAO regulations. Skycontrol is also represented in the ATIR Commission, dealing with Air Traffic Incident Reports.

In the framework of SwissATCA, Skycontrol is an active player at the international level. On the union side, it is a founding member of ATCEUC (Air Traffic Controllers European Unions' Co-ordination), the platform for co-ordination of all issues concerning air traffic management policy in the European Community. On the professional side, Skycontrol is also a founding member of IFATCA (International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers' Associations). Members of Skycontrol represent SwissATCA in the Technical and Operational Committee as well as in the Constitution Administration Committee. The current President & CEO of IFATCA is also a member of Skycontrol.
